It was a very unpleasant experience. I had no plans for the mundan and my father also was not quite excited about the whole idea, but this is something which was bound to happen to me as part of the family culture and rituals, so one fine day my grandma decided about it and called the barber.
Initially I had no idea what was it all about and what is going to happen to me, no one actually told me about it. My dad looked little disappointed but I thought it could be something else. When the mundan started, my dad and mom tightly gripped me, they knew it would not be easy with me and all my lovely locks gradually started falling in front of me, I cried and screamed but of no use...they were determined to shave my head...how atrocious that could be.
Finally it was over after half an hour of crying and yelling and tears and bloodshed...I had a nice bath which helped sooth off the pain and torture a bit and suddenly it was all over and things turned back to normal. Now I just cant wait for my hair to grow back, I terribly miss them, but it will take its own sweet time to have my lovely looks back.
Here is a pic of my new pic and I absolutely don't like it :(
